Privacy Policy
Effective June 12, 2026.
This privacy policy explains how FiveTwoOh, Inc. (“we”, “us”) handles information collected through the SilentMatch iPhone app and through this company website. It applies to both. Where the two differ, we say so.
About SilentMatch
SilentMatch is a proximity-based social discovery app. People who are at the same supported venue can opt in to be visible to each other, send a wave to start a conversation, chat once both people have waved back, and optionally send a real physical drink to be claimed at the bar of the supported venue.
What We Collect Through SilentMatch
Account & Profile
- Sign in with Apple identifier. When you sign in, Apple sends us a unique opaque identifier for your account. We use it to create and recognize your SilentMatch account.
- Name and email. If you choose to share your name and email when signing in with Apple, we store them. You can use Apple’s Hide My Email feature; we never see your real address in that case.
- Profile information you provide. Display name, profile photo, and any optional fields you choose to fill in (such as gender, birth date for astrology features, height, languages, and a short status note).
- Contact methods you choose to share. If you add an Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, or phone number to your profile so other users can find you off-platform, we store those.
Location
- Precise location while checked in at a supported venue. SilentMatch uses your iPhone’s location while you are at a supported venue to match you with other people present at the same venue. We do not share your precise location with other users; other users only see that you are nearby.
- We do not use your location for advertising and we do not sell location data to third parties.
User Content
- Profile photo and any photos you choose to upload to your profile.
- Chat messages you send and receive with other users.
- Status notes and similar short text you publish to your own profile.
- This content is stored on our backend infrastructure (operated for us by Google’s Firebase platform) and is transmitted over standard HTTPS. We may access content if required by law or to investigate a report of abuse, in line with our terms.
Purchases
- Drink purchase records. When you send a drink to another user through SilentMatch, we store an order record that includes the venue, the items, the amount paid, the time of purchase, and a Stripe payment identifier so we can look the purchase up if you need support.
- We do not see or store your card number. Card details are handled directly by Stripe and Apple Pay. SilentMatch only ever receives an opaque payment token.
- Drinks sent through SilentMatch are real physical drinks served at the bar of the supported venue. They are not digital content, in-app currency, or virtual goods.
Identifiers
- Your SilentMatch user ID (generated by Firebase Authentication).
- We do not collect or use the Apple advertising identifier (IDFA). We do not present an App Tracking Transparency prompt because we do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
Usage Data
- In-app events and feature usage. We use PostHog, a product analytics service, to record events like app open, profile setup completed, message sent, and drink offer sent. These are tied to your SilentMatch user ID so we can understand how the app is being used and fix problems. We do not use this data for advertising and we do not share it with data brokers.
Terms of Service Acceptance
- The time, app version, and a network identifier at which you accepted the Terms of Service, for our compliance records.
What We Do Not Collect
- Your iPhone’s contacts / address book.
- Health, fitness, or biometric data.
- Browsing history or search history outside of SilentMatch.
- Apple’s advertising identifier (IDFA) or other cross-app tracking identifiers.
Who We Share Data With
We share information with a small set of service providers that operate parts of SilentMatch for us:
- Google Firebase — authentication, database, file storage, push notifications.
- Stripe — payment processing for drink purchases.
- Apple Pay — tokenized payment authorization for drink purchases.
- RevenueCat — subscription receipt validation (currently not used for paid features).
- PostHog — in-app product analytics.
- Apple — Sign in with Apple and Apple Push Notification service.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for behavioral advertising. We do not share it with data brokers.
How Long We Keep Data
- Active account data is kept while your account is active.
- Venue presence records are short-lived and expire automatically after your session ends.
- Drink purchase records are kept for normal financial and compliance purposes.
- When you delete your account, we delete your profile, photos, chat messages, and presence records within 30 days, except where we are required to keep records for legal or financial reasons.
Your Choices
- Go Invisible. Use the Go Invisible toggle in the app to disappear from other users without signing out.
- Block or report. Use the Block or Report controls on any user’s profile or chat. Blocking is private and immediate.
- Edit or remove profile information. Most profile fields are optional and can be edited at any time in the app.
- Delete your account. Email stu@fivetwooh.com and we will delete your account and the data described above.
- Request a copy of your data. Email stu@fivetwooh.com and we will send a copy of the data we hold about you in a portable format.
Children
SilentMatch is not directed at children. The app is intended for use in adult nightlife and venue settings and is rated accordingly on the App Store.
